Perspiration Pals 30 October 2024

Hello there, Pals! This Wednesday is my Thursday as Friday is a public holiday and I’m looking forward to a long weekend mostly because I want to sleep. That’s how simple my wishes have become. No adventures, no fun and games, only slumberland. My colleague I share the office with is sick… Hopefully, the virus is not a long jumper because I can’t afford to go on sick leave.

Anyway, I started the day by doing a tough routine with Tasha. Obviously, as I’m doing Powerful with Tasha. I’m getting really powerful. If by powerful we mean sore and sweaty. Although I’m almost always sweaty nowadays… I want to be cold! Really cold! Not ‘oh, no, my toes are black’ kind of cold but cold enough. I’m going to Canada to search for the Ogopogo monster. I just have to find someone who’s ready to fund my research.

Let’s move on to our fact-finder fragment, did you know that elephants have been known to raid crops and can use their intelligence to overcome obstacles like electric fences, sometimes carefully removing wires to avoid shock? Ravens use distraction tactics to steal food from other animals and have been observed working in pairs to distract other birds while the other steals their food. Naughty! Bonus fact: The Dancing Plague of 1518: A case of mass hysteria in Strasbourg, Alsace where people danced uncontrollably for days without rest leading to several deaths.

And a bonus bonus fact! (related to the attached picture, yes, I’m really creative… those are my fingers.) Did you know that there are health benefits of eating popcorn (without butter and sugar, of course) In addition to being high in fibre, popcorn also contains phenolic acids, a type of antioxidant. (and vitamins too)

All right, Pals, have an easy day and eat some popcorn.
