HKS (Healthy, Kind Support) Accountability Group October 22nd
Good early Tuesday morning!
Since last Thursday, I had been able to sleep through the night, but the streak ended tonight. Too many thoughts going through my head. So here I am posting at 3:30am.
One of those thoughts is that I haven’t gotten back to the 3-Day Challenge yet and I am not happy about it. I started the month off so strong and I let one crazy week at work totally derail me. It’s clear that I haven’t yet made the switch in my head that daily exercise is a must. I am not in a good mental headspace. Hoping to get back to it today.
My company is hosting a virtual health and wellness fair this week. Every day a different theme and speaker. Yesterday, we heard from an ultra trail runner about her experience doing the Tor des géants, a 330km race through mountains in Italy. I love watching ultra trail running videos on Youtube, so I was looking forward to hearing about her experience. She mentioned how setting Big Hairy Audacious Goals (BHAG) has driven her through life, and how resilience is key. I will explore this idea of BHAG, and I will check out her book suggestion: Do Hard Things by Steve Magness. Do you have any BHAG at the moment?
