Hello everyone! It’s been quite some time since I’ve last posted here. I hope you all are doing well.
Yesterday, I did day 3 of FB Bodyweight and let me tell you, I am SORE! It feels good, don’t worry. Whoever believes bodyweight exercises don’t do anything for you has been cheating themselves or haven’t tried them due to doubt. They’re missing out. Anyway, as I mentioned I was doing day three and decided to add on a warm-up video. Even if the workout I’m doing has a warm-up, I always like to add in an extra warm-up to do first because I feel like I could use the extra movement. Any time I do this, whether it’s the warm-up video or the routine itself, I always hope that a particular warm-up exercise never comes up. I always feel not particularly dread but it’s more of an “UGH… not this exercise…” I know what some of you are thinking, “Couldn’t she just read the description of the video to see what exercises are the video?” Anyone thinking that would be correct, BUT I always like to be surprised, you know? To me, I feel like it adds more excitement to the routine in a way.
Which warm-up exercise is it that causes me to “UGH…”? It’s Warrior Jacks. . . I know. That might be strange to some people, but I personally cannot stand that exercise. My apologies to anyone who happens to like or love Warrior Jacks. It’s my least favorite warm-up exercise. I would rather do any other warm-up exercises besides that one. However, I still do them anyway, because it’s in the video so why not? I’m aware that Kelli, Daniel and other have said to substitute out an exercise if it’s uncomfortable or anything like that, but I don’t want to let the Warrior Jacks “win” so to speak. I know. That’s strange and pretty funny. I do them anyway and get them out of the way.
Do you guys have any warm-up exercises that you can’t stand either? Do you just do them like me when they come up or do you do something else entirely? Does anyone else dislike Warrior Jacks too?
