HKS (Healthy, Kind Support) Accountability Group September 21st
Good Saturday morning! It’s 6am and it is still dark out and the sun will set before 7pm today. I’m not a fan of darkness, but there’s no escaping the autumn equinox tomorrow and the passage of time.
A Blue Jay that is hanging out in our neighbourhood has decided to start screeching loudly at this early hour. If I hadn’t already been awake since 3:30am, that would’ve woken me up. He sometimes comes to our balcony to pick at the remains of the flowers in our pots. A very pretty bird.
I’m slowly starting to get this day started. We had a nice supper with my in-laws last night but it zapped all of my energy. I had a type of poke bowl with soba noodles full of veggies, with delicious asian cauliflower bites and a sriracha mayo sauce. Today we’ll try store-bought general tao tofu with rice. I do have a recipe for general tao tofu that we love, so it will be interesting to compare. What’s on your menu for today?
And will you be working out or resting today? The question I ask myself is will today be the day that I finally finish the Kettlebell challenge? The answer will come later, but I will definitely go for a longer walk today.

ETA: we just realized that there are actually 2 Blue Jays, one male and one female, and they’re both currently picking at the flowers on our balcony. I could watch them for hours 😍
