Good Tuesday morning! We are enjoying great weather here this week. Cool mornings and warm days with bright sunshine. Perfect weather to go for a long walk today. If only all of summer could be like this.

So I turned 50 yesterday and had a good cry about it. It wasn’t so much about the age itself, but more about not being where I thought I would be when I set goals for myself at 40, and feeling overwhelmed with worries about the future. David brought me flowers and made lasagna, and consoled me. Now I need to turn the page and move on. 50 is not the end, just a new chapter.

I will be back at work this morning and will enquire why they haven’t posted the job left vacant by our colleague who left our company. I suspect that they will leave everything as is right now, with only two District Coordinators in my province, and wait until our other colleague retires in February to open a position. If that is the case, work will be a lot busier in the next few months.
