Get ready to feel thoroughly worked from your shoulders to hips as we tackle strength supersets with intermissions of core work. Our strength pairings today are divided into muscle groups — back, chest, shoulders, and arms — for an added element of challenge. Most of our strength exercises are designed to be functional in nature, meaning your core is going to be called into play to perform the movement!
For equipment, you’ll need a range of dumbbells (I used 3-20lb) to accommodate both your strongest and most limited muscle groups. I filmed this about 4 months postpartum so our core work is heavily focused on stability and deep abdominal work, versus "traditional" abs. You may not get the same "ab burn" but this type of core work is super effective for any body!
I find it difficult to stay engaged with a pure upper body strength workout, so this additional core focus really helped me enjoy the work and not get bored. What do you think? Strictly strength or add some core/cardio in to stay engaged?
New Workout! Upper Body Strength with Core Stability Intermissions
Hi everyone!
Today’s workout release is a creative fusion of upper body strength and core!

See you there!
