I've been experiencing knee pain during squats, especially regular ones. I'll be visiting my physio, but I also wanted to ask for some workout recommendations!
Namely, I've read that strengthening the muscles around the knees can help alleviate this pain. I'd love to find mat-based or otherwise VERY low-impact exercises that can help achieve this — variations on leg lifts and the like. I'm trying to avoid or minimize squats and lunges for now.
My first thought was pilates. However, it seems that a lot of the lower-body workouts focus on glutes and core strength. (But maybe I'm wrong?)
Anyway, I would very much appreciate suggestions for either specific workouts to try or specific moves to look for in the work-out summary sections! Thanks in advance :)
Low-impact/mat-based leg strengthening?
