Perspiration Pals 22 August 2024

Hi there, Pals! How are you today? It’s still peaceful here in the office so I have absolutely no excuse for starting the thread so late (it’s 1:45 p.m. as I’m typing this) other than my incredible ability to procrastinate even when there’s hardly anything urgent to do.

I did Day 11 of Build with Tasha which was a 65-minute total-body routine and I survived! I’m not saying it wasn’t challenging but I was listening to my workout music playlist and I sort of got lost in the whole thing. Then suddenly it was a lot brighter outside and Tasha announced that it’s time to do the cooldown. And what’s even more explicable is the fact that I managed to be here at work in time… Unfortunately, I can’t say that my arm didn’t hurt at all but at least I know what exercises aggravate it and what I can do to avoid it. More or less. But it would be better if I didn’t have to modify various moves all the time.

Let’s move on to our fact-finder fragment. Here’s an Australia fact. Did you know that until the early 19th century, Australia was best known as "New Holland"? Also, did you know that the coldest place on Earth is a high ridge in Antarctica where temperatures can dip below -133°F (-93.2°C)? I don’t like summer heat but this would be going too far, I’d say. Would eyeballs freeze in this temperature? Bonus fact: California contains both the highest point (Mount Whitney) and the lowest point (Death Valley) in the contiguous United States.

All right, Pals, I need to go now, be good and don't listen to people who make fun of other people's looks (random piece of advice) Also, if you’re a lurker, talk to us. We’re a friendly lot.
