Hello Blendfriends, welcome to Monday! I haven't said it in a while, but everyone is welcome to read and post on our accountability thread.
How's the weather where you are? Here, we're headed into a cool, rainy week, and I can't say it's a problem for me π Cooler days means it's actually possible to work out later in the day, and with my poor sleep lately I think that will be a very good thing. Today I've got barre legs on schedule. A nice thing about barre is that it's a standing workout and I can do it in my regular clothes. I'm debating about trying the new postpartum recovery series as I think it would probably have good core and lower back work for me, since this whole back injury accommodation is starting to feel permanent. What are you up to with your workouts? Do you have favorite challenges, or ones you're looking forward to?
Other than workouts, I harvested all my carrots, and they are still sweet. Beyond 5 pounds of carrots, I've got quite a lot of carrot tops to make into quiche (I could only find recipes in French, is there a secret word for carrot leaves in English or is it just that folks don't have this particular food in their culinary spirit of adventure?). I always feel like my harvest is a gift, all I did was plant and nurture, and look what I get back! So here's today's thought:
βEvery day is a gift. That is why it is called the present.β (various attributions)
Or, if you prefer the Twin Peaks version:
"Every day, once a day, give yourself a present." (Agent Cooper)
Beyond the carrot top quiche, I plan also to make my orange/carrot/butternut soup as well. I hope you're enjoying the end-of season bounty, if that's happening where you are. Have a great day!
