Perspiration Pals 7 August 2024

Hello there, Pals! How are you today? It’s my last week away from the office. Even though my holidays haven’t been as enjoyable as I thought, I’m not looking forward to returning to mind-numbing tasks, stupid questions, and dealing with the consequences of illogical decisions. I’m trying to enjoy these last couple of days, though. I cycled to a nearby lake yesterday and just sat staring into space. The weather is not too bad right now, there was a gentle breeze and I met this sweet furry guy (see pic). He didn’t want to show his face and I respected his wish.

I’d love to say that the laser treatment was as successful as the one I received five years ago but I can’t. Maybe because what I have is not even tennis elbow… Anyway, I’m not letting a small muscle group in my lower arm ruin my motivation to do strength training so from next week, I’ll grab my dumbbells no matter what. I did a nice kickboxing routine with Tasha this morning followed by some expander exercises.

Let’s move on to our fact-finder fragment. Today, I’m using True Facts That Sound Like Bulls#*t: 500 Insane-But-True Facts That Will Shock and Impress Your Friends by Shane Carley so hopefully, you’ll be impressed. True or False: A group of rhinoceroses is called a “crash”. True or False: Sea stars (starfish) have just one eye – right in the centre of their bodies. True or False: We (by ‘we’ the author most probably meant astronomers) have found a planet that is almost as old as the universe itself. So this whole section has turned out to be a pop quiz. Enjoy!

All right, Pals, I’m going foraging for lunch. Have an easy day!
