Weekly Roundup: Week 2 of Powerful with Tasha 10-Day Challenge
Good morning FB Family!
You've made it to the second week of training for my 10-day challenge! How are you feeling? Still excited? Feeling strong, confident, and powerful? Saying mean things to me through the screen? However you’re feeling, hopefully you’re ready to kick things up a notch.
During this second week of training, we build on many of the strength/power training elements you encountered in week #1. Thus, the daily breakdown of the second week of training is similar to that of week #1, with minor tweaks to the overall workout order:
As with any of our other challenges and programs, this challenge is designed to be repeatable and revisited more than once as your strength and skill competencies improve with each round of completion. Welcome the discomfort and opportunity to (potentially) learn a few new abilities and movement patterns.
In addition to noticing any physical changes from one week to the next, tune into any mental changes that are occurring throughout this challenge. Strength/power training has a way of boosting our confidence and making us feel capable. Note how these mental shifts can have a positive effect on your ability to progress your training.
For me, creating and filming this challenge has made me brave enough to attempt double dumbbell snatches again! (Pictured above with the aggressive flip-flops tan lines.) I stopped doing this move after I broke my arm and became frustrated (and nervous, haha) that I couldn’t get both arms to move in unison. We’ll see when the next round of confidence kicks in for me to bump up my weights again (no pressure because the heavier weights aren’t going anywhere).
As always, I look forward to reading your thoughts, feedback, and any fun stories you have about your training experiences! Cheer each other on in the comment section below - let’s keep the chat going!
