Hello, lovelies, and Happy Tuesday! How is everyone doing? The crazy heat has abated here and I have to say 30 degrees feels balmy and livable compared to 40+. It will cool down even more in the next couple of days and I couldn't be happier. Around here the tradition is that it cools down around the feast of Saint Elijah (July 20th) who always brings rain, anyone else have this? In any case, it tends to pan out so he might just be my favorite saint.
I haven't felt very motivated to work out, first because of the heat and now because it always takes me a bit to restart my engine after a break. I'll try to pick up Burn this afternoon if my boyfriend goes to the office so I can use the living room. If not...in the words of Scarlett O'Hara "tomorrow is another day". I am hanging to my 8k daily steps goal by the skin of my teeth cause I don't have any buffer after being stuck inside for two weeks so I have to at least go for a walk today at some point.
Ok, moving on to links, have you ever found yourself in need of clever retorts during a witty repartee? Here are some suggestions if you want to add drama to your daily conversations:

There was a thread a couple of days ago about where the trainers are all from that went into specific accents . Related, I though you all might want to hear Mark Anthony's speech from Julius Caesar, in a Southern accent. It works, which shouldn't be a surprise, seeing as American accents are closer to how Shakespearean Brits would have sounded (also I now have a thing for Southern accents):
Speaking of kids in Shakespearean times...what was that like? A history guide takes the American Girl doll concept and tries to imagine a Tudor girl version. The contrasts between how Americans and Brits look at their history and how they present it to their children was fascinating:

Ok, I think that's enough Shakespeare for everyone, I think. Have a great day, everyone!

You know what's happened since Shakespearean times? Inflation, that's what, and the kids are mad about it:
