Good morning everyone!! I hope you've had your coffee or tea, maybe breakfast or lunch, and some of you are even getting ready for dinner already. Either way, thanks for reading and being here with me.
What sort of movement are you guys getting into today? Tell me so I can live vicariously through you as we'll be in the car a bit. Today is a rest day with my challenge and I'm still a tad sore so it sort of works out. I feel like I've been lazy the past couple of days sucked into my book and my body wants more movement, so maybe at least a walk at some point? Makes me wonder though....what book are you guys reading right now? I'm reading Hell Bent by Leigh Bardugo. It's the 2nd in a series and not in my normal wheelhouse, though also not far off. The first book took me a good third to get into it, but I've been hooked ever since.
Anyway. We're headed to my parents' house (about a 2 hour drive). We haven't seen them since we moved my niece there right before Easter. I know Paige is a little nervous seeing her again. I am too. I know she'll put on a show and I'm tired of pretending to care. It's all good though. She's not coming home with us. I love my parents, but I don't want to go. I'm socialized out after being so awkward all afternoon/evening at the picnic yesterday. I also still feel guilty dumping her on them even though I know they dumped her on us to start. I told hubs we'd go for lunch and be back by dinner. We can still have our pizza then. Hoping for a walk afterwards too.
Guess that covers my food plan too. What good eats are you guys planning though? I feel like I could use a fresh idea to throw on the menu.
As for a picture, I'm sharing one of our garden. Our cucumber plants have gotten big and have several cucumbers on them and both eggplants have a bloom (the purple flowers) after almost frying to death while we were away. We're excited! I've never grown anything like this before!! We actually have a sweet banana pepper ready to be picked too.
