It has been a rather hot 4th of July weekend here. It is usually hot in July but not this hot with temps in the upper 90's and feels like forecasts of 105 or so. Thank goodness I have AC. I still had fun and did my usual 4th of July activities.
Saturday's activity was selling tee shirts at the festival for the eno, hence the picture. This year's critter (theme) was the river otter. I'll post a picture of the tee shirt I bought.
After my shift I walked around a little looking at the crafts. I found the booth that sells soaps that I like so I bought 2 bars. I won a gift certificate from this shop a few years ago and ever since then I buy a few bars a year, good marketing strategy! I had never heard of this shop and wasn't even looking to buy soap until I won the certificate (I ordered more bars than the certificate gave me since they had a deal of buy some many and got a free one-and it probably also involved free shipping and I am a sucker for free shipping). I have always liked soaps with nice fragrances.
Earlier in the weekend I sauteed eggplant and had it over fusilli (rotini) pasta with tomato sauce. Today (it is still Saturday night here) I had empanadas at the festival.
For exercise I have mainly been going on somewhat short walks in the morning before it gets too hot. I am planning on looking for a stretching workout to do tonight. Tomorrow(Sunday) I am going for a short walk before it gets too hot and I am thinking of looking for an upper body strength workout. Monday I'll get back to abs3
Now tell me how your weekend is going. Is it hot in your part of the world and how are you dealing with it? I know it is not hot for Lynna whose is down under. I hope it is not too cold. She had told us her winter had started out very cold.
Tell us about all the delicious food you are having and what you are doing for exercise or maybe it is a rest day for you. Rest is important too.
