HKS (Healthy, Kind Support) Accountability Group June 24th 🦆

Hello everyone, welcome to Monday the 24th, our national holiday here in Quebec and, even if it's a few days past the solstice, a wonderful midsummer day. Okay, wonderful for the 🦆🦆 it's still raining 😆

I went looking for "midsummer" quotes and stopped on this one from Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream : "Though she be but little, she is fierce." That was good enough for me! I was always the smallest one in my classes in primary school, 🤣. But I'm pretty sure we've all felt small, sometimes, not up to the challenge (especially for pushups, shoulder presses...), and we're mostly ladies around here, so it's not too likely our muscles will bulk up. But remember, our muscles may be little, but they are fierce! I'm about to show my dumbbells some fierceness with Nicole's UB tri-sets.

Some things around here that are large not little and fiercely good: my rhubarb, which is mature and good for continuous harvesting (I made 10 cups of gorgeous rhubarb-strawberry compote last night), my lettuce boxes, overflowing with bounty after all this rain; my enthusiasm for a cool and rainy week -- our local weather site is always positive on the sunny days that make me overheat, but I'm delighted to have a vacation when none of the days will hit 30C.

As for this week in the kitchen, I will be making salads for sure. At some point today I'm planning to make this FB recipe https://www.fitnessblender.com/articles/basil-chicken-with-peach-cucumber-and-tomato-salad-with-balsamic-vinegar-and-garlic

What are your plans for this lovely long day?
