Perspiration Pals 5 June 2024

Hello Pals! How are you today? As usual, I know it’s getting really boring, but I’m going to have a busy day, running around here in the corridors like a headless chicken. (Did you know that there actually was a headless chicken once… and it could at least walk around for a while.) It’s official, my body has decided to collect small health problems. Not worrying ones (yet) but rather unpleasant ones. I would compare them to a small pebble in your shoe that you can’t shake out. I might have made this comparison before, but you know, one of the small problems is being forgetful. It’s hilarious. Sometimes.

Anyway, let’s move on to exercise. I finished the 30-Day Challenge and I would say I really enjoyed it if it hadn’t been overshadowed by elbow/lower arm pain. At this point I’m not even sure it’s tennis elbow. I know I should at least visit my GP but I can’t get away from work right now. Maybe next week. Good thing is, I can do a whole range of exercises that don’t bother it as long as I forget my dumbbells which I absolutely don’t want to do. So, I had a chat with my arm and we decided to do a 2-week bodyweight program to let it heal a little. I did Day 3 today (I swapped the scheduled routine and tortured my core instead) and practised push ups. I could do 9! push ups on Saturday. Were they full push ups? Probably not. I mean my chest didn’t touch the floor and it definitely didn’t look effortless but my form was good. I think. But enough of my stupid push up challenge.

Let’s move on to our fact-finder fragment. Since we’ve had a couple of flash floods in the region, I thought we could look at some water facts. Did you know that your bones are composed of 31% water? And did you know that 90% of the world's fresh water is in Antarctica? So very easily accessible.

All right, Pals, I need to go now, have an easy day and try not to worry. (random piece of advice)
