I had fun being a timer at Special Olympics Summer Games yesterday. It was a new role for me. There were 2 timers per lane and we each had a stopwatch and a plunger button to press when the swimmer touched the wall. The official started the plunger time. The stopwatch times was backup. I am not sure what they did with them since the awards had already been given out and all the races were completed by the time we handed our sheets in. My timing partner and I had fun comparing our stopwatch times to each other and to the one posted on the board. I tried to note each swimmers name so I could cheer them on as I was watching them race towards me.
Nellie and Cinnamon stayed home ofcourse but as you can see Cinnamon photo bombed my picture and Nellie just walked over my tablet as I'm typing.
Last night I made curried rice broccoli with spaghetti. It was quite tasty and should be even better today as the flavors set in.
Soon I am going to meeting at church I have to get ready quickly so I can get coffee and the light breakfast they have promised to serve. Later I am going to book club where we will mostly socialize since after of us including me did not read the book.
For exercise I have gotten off kilter with my pilates and upper body strength routine. All I know is I am on day 18 or so. So I'll fix my fb calendar and continue with it.
How are your weekends going? I would like to hear what you have been up to.
