HKS (Healthy, Kind Support) Accountability Group May 31st

Hello, lovelies, and happy last Friday of May. Where does the time go? As it is the end of the month, are you looking back on any goals you had for May? If yes, how did they go for you? I had a goal of 8k steps/day that I failed to meet. I'll probably be at ~7.5k steps by the end of the day. It would take about 25k steps today to get my average up to 8k and that is simply not happening. Let's try again in June.

In terms of workouts, I'm finishing Flex 2 and I want to scale down a bit the frequency so that the workouts I actually do can be more intense. The classic FB format of 2 upper and 2 lower body strength days per week is starting to not work for me. If I lift heavy for my upper body, i won't be able to hold on to heavy weights for lower body the following day. I'm always sore and not really able to give it my all. I also want more cardio and to lose a few pounds.

Strength training makes it very hard to control my appetite, no matter how much protein I get. My thought is to do 4 times per week: Upper body day, HIIT day, rest, lower body day, cardio/core day. I'll also be trying to not work out on the weekends for the summer so I have more energy to get outside rather than need naps all the time. I've been on here long enough that I feel confident to do my own sequencing.

I think that's it for me. This weekend I have to go with my partner to shop for some clothes for him to wear to a wedding next week and I am kinda dreading going to the mall, it's gonna be so busy. Wish me luck and patience.
