Today's thought is for anyone else who's been having trouble sleeping: “Sometimes you lie in bed at night and you don’t have a single thing to worry about. That always worries me!” —Charlie Brown

I'm up with the birds this morning. I wasn't sleeping well, so I decided to enjoy the beautiful cool morning before the heat sets in later today. There's a couple of young cardinals nesting in our hedge and they are very present all around the yard. The song sparrow has stopped pecking the windows, so maybe he's concentrating on nesting now, too. Later today I expect I'll see the fast little birds that are so tiny keep thinking they're butterflies.

Today is a holiday here, so I won't be working, despite my brain's best efforts to get me worried about getting my stuff done in just four days. I need to practice for my vocal ensemble, our concert is next Sunday and I know what I need to work on. Discovering yesterday that cutworms killed a couple of my tomatoes has given me food for thought. Rather than continuing my my planting frenzy in my plot (I put in 9 lettuces and 8 peppers yesterday... oops?), I'll just size up the pots on my spares and wait a few weeks. There won't be any more cutworms then.

Even so, I expect my main workout to be gardening again today, I'll just focus on the container garden until the sun gets too hot 😎.

So what have you all got going on today? Is anyone starting the strength blocks? I'm going to try putting together a routine with UB, pilates and core.

Wishing you all a beautiful Monday!
