HKS (Healthy, Kind Support) Accountability Group May 14th πŸ›

Hello everyone and welcome to the start of the week. I meant to start the week with a nice shower, but I've put it off momentarily due to finding a house centipede in there ... I know that these are considered beneficial creatures in our home environment because they are predators for other bugs, but eeeesh, not fun to encounter when *ahem* dressed for the shower. I have postponed the shower till after breakfast 🀣🀣🀣. So here I am, starting the thread instead, please forgive my cowardice πŸ˜‰. And I've found us a thought in honor of insects, arachnids and other creepy-crawliesπŸžπŸœπŸ›:

"Any foolish boy can stamp on a beetle, but all the professors in the world cannot make a beetle." (Arthur Schopenhauer)

Sometimes I get curious about the people behind the quotes. Here is a quick take on Schopenhauer, from the Stanford encyclopedia of philosophy : "Often considered to be a thoroughgoing pessimist, Schopenhauer in fact advocated ways – via artistic, moral and ascetic forms of awareness – to overcome a frustration-filled and fundamentally painful human condition." So I will wish you all awareness of beauty today, and less pain.

Workout will be cardio for me, to wrap up the BE challenge. I don't plan to do the included HIIT which has moves that are not available to me at this time, but I'll find an appropriate substitute.

Time for me to get moving, if I want to have time to take that shower after all. Have a great day, everyone!

Edit : The centipede situation has been dealt with. I feel that Schopenhauer would not approve but would probably not be surprised.
