We’ve been working on figuring out different ways for you to benchmark your progress as you continue to conquer challenges, programs, and workouts throughout your various stages of training.
Coming soon, I will detail a few ways to test your current performances across three different measures of foundational fitness by way of a process we call “proficiency testing.” Tracking your physical and mental status at both the start and end of a phase of training can help you identify and acknowledge areas of growth as well as help guide your training preferences.
We’ll start out with a pretty straightforward approach to testing your proficiency so that if you don’t already include some form of tracking with your training this won’t be an overwhelming experience. We will continue to tweak and grow our approach to proficiency testing as you gain practice with it and have a chance to offer feedback!
More details to come from me soon but your initial thoughts are definitely welcomed now – are you excited about the thought of tracking your progress and knowing that the rest of the FB community could be tracking right along with you?
Pictured above: Me after putting myself through the proficiency test and making note of my measures so that I can test them again at the end of my current phase of training (and needing glasses because my allergies are out of control). Super quick and simple but very informative!
