New Workout! Upper Body MetCon

For those of you who’ve enjoyed past Metabolic Conditioning workouts, here’s another!

Upper Body MetCon

This workout was created to complement the Lower Body MetCon routine. Focusing on the upper body, we strive to maximize muscle usage while burning fat through the routine’s cardio effect. In the workout, exercises are broken into 5 groups, one for each muscle group. Each group has 3 exercises — 2 strength, and 1 that’s cardio-intensive. The dual focus on strength while keeping the heart rate elevated taxes both the cardiovascular and muscular systems, resulting in an increased metabolic rate. 

Plan to have a range of weights with you that are appropriate for upper body strength exercises as well as a mat and be sure to read the write-up for all of the details to best prepare!
