HKS (Healthy, Kind Support) Accountability Group March 1st
Hello, team, and happy first day of spring! Are there any traditions around this day where you live? In Romania the custom is to give people “martisor” - initially this referred to a red and white string tied to a coin but these days the coin has been replaced by everything under the sun, across all price ranges.
Around Feb 25th streets get taken over by sellers offering flowers and martisor. Snowdrops are often given together with the traditional string. I have no idea who makes all this stuff and where it goes for the rest of the year but it’s quite a happy day. At my old job on March 1st the women would treat the guys to cakes and cookies, and they would return the gesture on March 8th.
In any case, I wish you all a sunny spring and a lovely day! Let me know what your plans are for workouts, food, the weekend and anything else you might wish to share!
