Would adding treadmill/bike work in addition to FB workout be too much?

I’m trying to do an Elle Woods thing because I’m so tired of watching/doing work on my laptop and have no motivation. However, I don’t want to overtrain. I usually do a main workout in the morning, so I was thinking of adding walking on the treadmill at lunch. I don’t want to overdo it, so probably just 20-30 minutes and then hop off. I know walking for general health is good, but I’ve always gotten a much more significant burn from the treadmill and DOMs compared to walking outside. But it’s cold and icy, so I don’t want to do that.

How would you best recreate a normal walk on a treadmill? I used to get hip pain from the treadmill, so I think it was because I’d stay on the same incline/similar speed/increase speed at random.
