New Workout! Pelvic Floor Mobility Cooldown

Hey Fitness Blenders!

Release tension from your pelvic floor with today’s release: Pelvic Floor Mobility Cooldown

This routine is for you if you’re known to hold stress or tension in your pelvic floor, are preparing for birth, or simply want to ensure you’re doing your part for a functional pelvic floor.

Day to day stress, posture, and exercise can sometimes manifest in an overly tight pelvic floor which, surpisingly, can also cause symptoms of dysfunction. This is a great 5-minute series to add at the end of a pelvic floor taxing workout (like HIIT, lower body strength, or running), or as part of a relaxing bedtime routine. The goal here is to release tension from and gain mobility. Since the pelvic floor is a muscle group, it needs to have both strength and mobility in order to be functional! Therefore, doing kegels all the time is not necessarily the answer. More on that topic in the write-up!

I personally like to include these in my day at the end of a workout or at the end of my day when I’m watching my latest favorite show. It’s a great way to wind down from the stresses and demands of the day while supporting my pelvic floor!
