Confidence is often a reassuring feeling. Regardless of the direction of our confidence, we tend to feel in control when we are confident, like we aren’t easily shaken in our self-perception. However, I think it is important to recognize that self-confidence is like an emotion — it’s fleeting. It is something that comes and goes and we don’t always have control over it, though there are things we can do to set ourselves up to feel more confident. That’s exactly what today’s guided practice is all about — engaging in practices that will hopefully make you feel more confident in going into a workout.
This is designed specifically for a workout, but you can also use it anytime you have something big coming up. A big test or presentation, a high-stakes social situation, or anything that you deem to be important.
In this guided practice, you will be guided through some self-compassion work, some strengths-based work, and wrap up with affirmations to hopefully leave you feeling confident and ready to take on whatever comes your way.
