So, the inevitable happened and I caught covid. The first day was terrible, the worst I had ever felt and then slow improvement after that.
I've been walking a little bit further every day as my body recovers.
A week later and I was finally able to cycle and do some light weightlifting.
Unfortunately, my sense of smell and taste is MIA.
Savoury food doesn't register at all, I can taste the very slightest bitterness from black coffee but tea, no matter how strong I make it, just tastes like hot water.
I can taste the slightest sweetness but very little registers. It's really the texture of soft sweet snacks that give me pleasure, but I can't taste anything.
At the moment, I am operating off muscle memory and what I remember things were like, but if my senses leave me more permanently, this is going to take some getting used to.
Back training after Covid

So, the inevitable happened and I caught covid. The first day was terrible, the worst I had ever felt and then slow improvement after that.
I've been walking a little bit further every day as my body recovers.
A week later and I was finally able to cycle and do some light weightlifting.
Unfortunately, my sense of smell and taste is MIA.
Savoury food doesn't register at all, I can taste the very slightest bitterness from black coffee but tea, no matter how strong I make it, just tastes like hot water.

At the moment, I am operating off muscle memory and what I remember things were like, but if my senses leave me more permanently, this is going to take some getting used to.
