Perspiration Pals 11 January 2023

Hello there, Pals! How are you today? I have a rather sore upper body. I started Bodyweight 1 (the program) on Sunday because I’m still a bit reluctant to start weight training. I’d love to do Strong 3 but I’ve decided to be a lot more patient with my body and since my shoulder seems to be a lot better I don’t want to ruin it by jumping back into lifting. You know the healthy combination of doctor’s orders and listening to your body.

The weather was absolutely awful yesterday. Rain and strong winds. Going home from work I looked a lot like Kenny from South Park. I was trying hard to hold on to my umbrella because I didn’t want to get all that heavenly moisturiser in my face and I must say it was a rather good upper-body routine too. My umbrella held on too. But I what am I doing here? Rambling and procrastinating instead of getting on with the thread. Oh, hang on… the topic is time management.

There’s an excellent FB article written by Haley and some of our other lovely trainers about time management so today we’re going to do a little fill-in-the-gap exercise. In the ‘Strategies and personal philosophies’ Nicole, Tasha, Kayla, and Marina come up with their one-liner philosophies and I would like you to fill in the gaps in the following sentences: Be ………. about your goals but ……. about your methods. (Tasha) Know the …………. you work best on what tasks. (Marina) Are good at time management? Do you sometimes get overwhelmed by tasks even though you know you can do them because you’ve been doing them for a while? (I do…)

In other news, I got my sore upper body out of bed early in the morning to do Day 4 of the Bodyweight program. Actually, I got my lower body out of bed too, it would’ve been strange to do a lower-body routine with my lower body in bed…

Anyway, have an easy day Pals and if you have to, wrestle with the elements it’ll do you good.
