New Guided Practice for Physical, Mental, and Emotional Strength
Strength can mean so many things. As a Psychologist, I am always wanting to promote well-rounded strength as a human. Of course this means physical strength (which you get with so many of Fitness Blender’s other videos), but also incorporates mental and emotional strength. Mental strength includes a sense of resilience, adaptability, and cognitive fortitude; whereas emotional strength includes having an awareness of one’s emotional state and being able to continue on with one’s day/life tasks while experiencing those emotions.
This guided practice is intended to help you to build up the mental and emotional strength, giving prompts for you to think about how to work on these in your daily life. Of course, I had to get a little bit of physical strength training with a visualization in there, too! This guided practice is less meditative and more for thought-based work. It is great for anyone who likes to self-reflect and wants to take another step in building their overall strength as a human being.
