I was recently cleared by my doctor to resume exercise following a setback with my health. I feel so much better now, I love working out, I love being able to move more, and I love feeling well enough to live my life. However, I find myself at my highest weight ever and it's uncomfortable. I'm just not used to moving around in a bigger body. I feel like every movement is weighted and it's taking a lot of the joy out of exercise to have to modify the workouts to accommodate the extra weight. I'm just not sure how to proceed.
Has anyone dealt with relearning what their body is capable of?
How do you mentally adjust to where your body is now?
Is it okay to want to change your body?
If you're in a bigger body, what king of workouts feel good for you? Do you have any tips?
