I recently recovered from Covid a few weeks ago and was looking forward to getting back into my workout routine, however the past couple of weeks has been insane and the precious free time I do have is spent crashing out on the couch from sheer exhaustion. There have been way too many things going on this holiday season, office parties every weekend, birthdays in between, our new cat has been sick, and I gave a musical performance over the weekend that was planned for a couple months. In hindsight, I don't know why I chose to schedule that performance at the busiest time of year, haha!! Oh, and we are hosting Christmas at our house this year. Thankfully, it is a pot luck. Phew!
I am trying to eat well as much as I can, but with all these get togethers there is a lot of eating out/catering, and as a result I have been dealing with intense bouts of stomach upset and bloating. I try to pick my battles wisely, and not eat too much, but if you have a sensitive stomach/IBS you know that sometimes you have no idea what will set you off, until it is too late. I remember eating a simple turkey dinner at one office party, and I was in misery the rest of the night AND the entire next day.
I am honestly just ready for this year to be over. It's just been too much, in every possible way, and I am ready for a break!!
Exhaustion
Hi all,
I recently recovered from Covid a few weeks ago and was looking forward to getting back into my workout routine, however the past couple of weeks has been insane and the precious free time I do have is spent crashing out on the couch from sheer exhaustion. Phew!

Anyway, rant over :)
