I stopped counting calories in November last year. After years of eating disorders and weight fluctuations, this was a huge milestone for me.
Since then, I have continued working out regularly but have been working on more intuitive eating. I've gained inches everywhere and 24lbs in total.
I am trying really hard to accept the weight gain as a normal part of life. But it's hard! Eating intuitively hasn't been easy, it has been like teaching myself nutrition as though I'm a child again. I'm often reaching for food that is not nutrition filled in an effort to fight against the urge to restrict. It's all learning!
Anyway, what I'm wondering is if anyone has any tips for body acceptance after weight gain? Maybe just some reassurance that my body will do what it needs to and my weight will eventually stabilise.
