Weak Grip. Help?

Hi all. Recently I have had access to a larger variety of weights. Before I only had 10, 15, & 20 lbs dumbells. Now I have all the way up to 75. My issue is that even though my legs can handle the heavier weight I find that my hands and forearms cannot. How do I proceed?

What I have been doing is working with the weight and once my hands cant handle it anymore I drop them and continue doing more reps but with just bodyweight.

Do I continue doing this and waiting for my grip to get stronger to be able to lift more?

Kind of confused as to what I should do. Is it a waiting game? I only just had access to heavier weights in the last two weeks.

If this has happened to you I would love to hear your input.
