Hello all, how is this Monday in May finding you? Raring to get a jump start on a new week or a little leary coming down from the weekend? I'm definitely falling into the latter camp, but there's nothing for it but to settle in and roll with whatever punches this week may bring.
I had a nice sunny weekend in the mountains a couple hours' ride away from my home. We left Friday morning and returned yesterday afternoon. There was a little bit of hiking (not enough for me), a little indulging, and a little walking around a couple of mountain towns doing some browsing and shopping. I picked up some lovely soy candles - one is lemon lavender scented and perfect for winding down at bedtime. And I also got some beautiful flowers from my husband and sons. I hope you all had a nice weekend as well.
But sadly it's time to put the weekend in the rearview and focus on the week ahead, and for many of us I know that will include a few workouts. I did my favorite FB Pilates this morning. I was going to also try Amanda's inner thigh workout released last week, but ran out of time. I'm feeling really blah after all of the indulging and not looking forward to working out at the moment, to be quite honest, but I know I'll feel better once I pick back up with my regular routine. I hope you're looking forward to whatever you have planned, or, if you're like me and not feeling it so much at the moment, that you will feel better for it after it's done.
It's also time for me to put indulging behind me, but I'm not feeling quite as unenthusiastic about that because I'm looking forward to my favorite healthy dinner later, baked salmon. Breakfast and lunch as yet are undetermined and as usual during the week will be thrown together on the fly. Let us know about what it's your culinary corner this week. After some triple chocolate cheesecake and a few mocha lattes this weekend, I could definitely use a break from chocolate, but as you all know, that's easier said than done.
The picture above is from a hike we took on Saturday, and one below of a waterfall on the same hike.
