That's done. 28 minutes of running non stop plus 10 minutes of walking (5 for warm up, 5 for cool down). This week, hills were involved which changed the game slightly but I managed them and am especially proud since they were at the end of the run.
One more week to go to complete the program. Normally 3 runs of 30 minutes next week but given that I fly to Armenia on Saturday for 10 days (volunteer midwifery), I will only get in two runs next week so will complete the program once I return. I was hoping to finish it before leaving but it just doesn't work and I don't want to risk injury by running two consecutive days. I'm a rule follower!
I'm noticing gains in endurance. Even the hills seem to have gotten easier by the third run.
C25K is a great program - if anyone is on the fence, I would say 'go for it'. I'm enjoying it so much I am now wondering how to incorporate 2 or 3 runs into my week- just for the fun of it. It does me good...both mentally and physically.
