3 full body or 5 day split

Hi all,

Do you think 3 full body workouts can be just as effective as the 5 day split that FB use in most of their programs? Do FB do 5 days as this is the MOST effective way to workout.

I’ve been following their programs now for a good few years but have been finding 5 workouts a week stressful to fit in to my lifestyle and my body has been exhausted and suffering with joint pain etc.

I’ve moved to three full body workouts a week (anywhere between 45mins to 1hour each) and am on my second week of doing this. I certainly feel I have more energy to really throw myself into the three I do but I’m just worried I won’t make any more progress or may lose gains by lowering to 3 instead of 5 a week.

Does anyone have any experience of reducing workouts that can let me know how they’ve got on or any science behind the pros of one way over the other.
