New FB Plus Workout: 38-Minute Single Dumbbell Lower Body Strength
Good morning FB Family!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend with a rewarding mixture of nourishing movement and recovery. I certainly enjoyed finally being able to lift some heavier weights but also some time to stretch and recover from more intense workouts throughout the week. Today’s workout release is a fun yet challenging lower body routine that I filmed once I felt fully recovered from my sinus infection:
You will complete two rounds of increasingly difficult strength exercises in each circuit. The best part? We reverse the sequence of exercises for the second round of each circuit. This reversal will challenge you to maintain consistently high efforts during challenging movement patterns to improve muscular and mental stamina.
This is a single-weight workout, but I encourage you to bring along plenty of options so that you can alternate between medium/heavy weight selections based on each exercise’s degree of difficulty (some moves have a bit of a balance component). Check out the write-up for a few reasons why multicomponent and multiplanar exercises are a good addition to your training regimen as well as examples of alternative moves for a few of the exercises.
The cardio finisher of this workout was particularly challenging for me as I am rebuilding my stamina after being sick, but I was still super proud of myself for giving it my best effort. Jonathan, on the other hand, gave zero effort. He was still proud of himself as well.
Right now, I’m working on creating and filming a couple of HIIT routines as well as a possible supersets sequel to a previous workout release. I have a long master list of workouts in the queue and can’t wait to keep sharing them with you!
I hope you enjoy this workout! The snatches were my favorite. Let us know which exercise(s) you liked the most!
