It's another below zero (F) day here, so: it's, ya know. Cold. But that's alright. Wind is supposed to pick up somethin fierce later on today, which will make it more miserable; but for now it's not so bad. Hoping to maybe get some walks in today--we shall see about that.
What's happening with workouts today, Blenders? Is it a workout day, or rest day for you?
Workout day for me! I ended up doing the lower body scheduled routine for Strong yesterday instead of swapping it out for the upper body routine. I chose the 5/5 lower body; as that's my fave lower body routine! Definitely feelin it tin the glutes today. I also got a bit of snow shoveling in; and will probably have to shovel more today too (dang wind and your snow drifting). Anywho, I'm looking forward to the upper body routine--it's the pulse one with Amanda; and I love it! I've done it once already, and I think it's going to be a fave similar to my all time fave: Daniel's upper body routine w/ burnout.
Now that I've said "fave" more times than anyone ought to, let's talk about food! What's on the menu for today, Blenders?
I'm actually excited to talk about food today: Hubby and I have been a bit more adventurous in our meals this past week (except for yesterday when he was not feeling great--seems to be doing better today, yay!). We've had veggie spaghetti (made with our own homegrown, homemade canned marinara sauce!), sushi rolls served with sesame green beans, Lebanese Fattoush, and then we made the wonderful dish recommended by Shabnam: Ghormeh Sabzi. Shabnam, I've never made anything with dried limes or fenugreek before; and I have to say I'm hooked! This was so, so good! I loved it! Thank you for the recipe recommendation! We made it with a venison roast in place of beef, and served it over saffron basmati rice. Goodness, it was sooo unbelievably delicious: and I'm definitely gonna make it again! Thanks again, Shabnam: and if you have any more recipes that use dried limes, I'm open to suggestions! They may be my new favorite ingredient!
And finally today: random pic! Here with your "Tongue Out Tuesday" is Miss Mable! Who may have spent too much time watching Katmai brown bears with me this Fall; and is doing her best 812 impression.
Well, Blendfriends; that's enough rambling from me today!
I hope you all have a fantastic day, and thanks so much for checking in with me!
Take care, Blenders!
