Yesterday "In the Kitchen" - Weekend Recap 12-20-21

Good day everybody.

Busy weekend around here with the family. Not too much in the way of kitchen creation(s) though. Had to run through some leftovers first. First off, Storm made a great mushroom stroganoff with red wine on Friday. It was very tasty. The rest of the weekend, up until lunch Sunday, was burning up the leftovers to make room for groceries. Had to run out and stock up before the stores get crazy with last minute people and their holiday shopping.

Lunch was grilled ham and cheese with colby jack. Also some tomato soup. Classic and warming meal. It was cold outside and a perfect fit. Dinner was up in the air until I decided to make pizza with the shiitake mushrooms we harvested. Yup! Growing shrooms. But most of you gals and guys knew that already from Storm's postings.

So off to the pizza: Shiitake, bell pepper, red onion, garlic, EVOO, sweet italian sausage. Simple and clean flavors. Sourdough crust of course.
