Hello Pals, we've made it to FriYay! Another all-day meeting for me today. I needed the sleep, so no full-length workout this morning, but I'll walk to work, and then take the stairs (6 floors - it's kind of like a short HIIT). Days like this do make me glad the weekend's arriving.
I've been a bit of a lurker in the last few days, so I haven't read _all_ the fascinating nerve lore, but to continue on the same theme, did you know that we have absolutely loads of neurons in your stomach? Sometimes it's called a "second brain". That's why soothing herbal teas are good for your tummy *and* your psyche, and why some doctors apparently prescribe antidepressants for IBS. Have you done anything lately to put your stomach in a good mood?
Oh, and here's your science teacher question for the day - what nerve helps your stomach neurons communicate with your brain? Hint: there is a free FB expert article on it.
