Good day everyone. Hope your day is working on or has been fabulous thus far.
Yesterday "In the Kitchen" was another experiment in using what we have on hand. But then again, it almost always is with us around here. I really like it that way I guess. We had some leftover ribs from the other day. I know, WHAT? Not possible! Yes. Sometimes we can control ourselves for the pleasures yet to come.
So, I made a batch of basmati rice and got to slicing and dicing in order to make fried rice. BBQ rib meat, red cabbage, celery, red and white onion, some garlic, (always garlic) leftover carrots and corn, and three farm fresh scambled eggs rounded out the dish. Toss a little low sodium soy and sesame oil in and we were good to go.
What was happening yesterday "In your Kitchen?" What kind of creative and unusual dishes are you coming up with on the fly. Put down the recipe book and see what you can make with what you have. Have a blessed and prosperous day FB Foodies.
