Yesterday "In the Kitchen" - Weekend Recap 11-15-21
Good day Fello FB Foodies.
Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Maybe you even got some great kitchen time in over the weekend. Weekend was busy with various odds and ends around the farm. The kitchen was up and down due to some leftovers. Let's see what happened.
Friday night: Taco salad with leftover chili, greens, onion, bell pepper, avocado, blue corn tortilla chips, sour cream, and some hot sauce. Also, a co-worker brought me a peanut butter stuffed jalapeno wrapped in bacon. Interesting flavor. Not bad, just not what I would stuff it with.
Saturday lunch was an omlette with sauteed onions, bell pepper, mushrooms, and asiago cheese. A little salsa for some zing. Saturday dinner was pizza. Sourdough crust with greens pesto (not basil), only 4-5 oz of provolone, red onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, artichoke and garlic sausage with a sprinkling of oregango and parsely.
Sunday was a late breakfast smoothie then dinner. Dinner was slow cooked seasoned ribs with sweet and spicy bbq sauce in the oven. They were fall off the bone tender. Accompanied by sauteed carrots and sweet corn, and the last of our home grown potatoes smashed with butter and parsley. Ate way too much of this.
