Yesterday "In the Kitchen" - Weekend Recap 11/8/21
Good day FB Family.
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. As many of you know, it was a very busy weekend around here. But, food wise, it was also busy. Savannah is not with us on Thanksgiving this year, so, we decided to celebrate early.
Friday night dinner: Storm made a wonderful black eyed pea (cow peas for some of you) soup with a ham hock.
Saturday was our Thanksgiving: Organic turkey, marbled rye stuffing, homemade cranberries, greenbean casserole with homemade mushroom soup, smashed potatoes and turkey gravy. Desert was a lattice work apple pie (our apples), and the leftover crust made a raspberry and mulberry burrito (turnover thing). Delish.
Sunday: Mostly leftovers. Turkey sandwiches for lunch. Mine with stuffing, cranberries, red onion, and greens. Dinner was some sourdough pull-a-parts with the remaining soup.
So, how did your weekend "In the Kitchen" go? Anything special going on? Show us your wonderful mistakes or successes. Anyone can post. Don't be shy. Have a blessed and prosperous day!
