I haven't worked out in months due to a fear of having panic attacks. I have health-related anxiety where I will feel weird palpitations in my chest and think I am having some kind of heart problem, and it will trigger a panic attack. Unfortunately this results in a lot of anxiety when I am exercising because my heart rate is elevated and it mimics the same symptoms I have.
Exercise used to be the best part of my day, I'd work out 3-5x week and sustained that for years, I was in the best shape of my life. I am not sure how to get back into this and enjoy the same cardio I used to, having this added stress to my life. I feel so discouraged... I am getting out of shape and I am starting to have body image problems. I feel like a huge failure right now and I don't know how to overcome this.
