Seeing myself in photos was the the main event that pushed me to take better care of myself. I'm so proud of how far I have come.
At the beginning I just focused on what I was eating and portion sizes. I didn't work out because I wanted to focus on one thing at a time. About 2 years ago I started by counting my calories, a year passed and I switched to intuitive eating. At the same time as switching to intuitive eating I bought a fitbit and started working out with FitnessBlender on a regular basis.
Watching what I ate really helped me lose the weight, but it was exercising 3-4 days a week that really gave me the confidence I needed. I have gotten compliments from friends saying they can see my muscles, I have never had that before. I still hate HIIT, dislike cardio; strength training and yoga are my favourite. I still can't do a push up on my toes and I'm totally okay with that. I'm so happy with how far I have come along. I just take one day at a time and you can too!
