Triggering messages around working out (need to vent!)...
Hey..
OK I think I just need to vent this so am hoping that is OK...
So, just now I got an email from another fitness site I have browsed in the past, I obviously will not name it here.
It was entitled 'excuses don't burn calories' accompanied by a picture of a very beautiful but also very tiny model flexing her impressive abs. I am not suggesting the model is unhealthy.
But is it just me this sets off?
What, so according to them working out is purely about burning calories in order to be a certain very small size (not for say, strength? well-being etc) and if I do not do enough of it I am making excuses? lazy? doomed!!! etc etc...
Maybe it is just me and I going way over the top but a) it made me cross! and b) it just made me so grateful for the healthy, balanced approach here with FB. The feel, the tone, the availability of balanced useful content, the diversity in pictures. It all helps.
