Physical Therapy Day 7

Hello Blender Peeps!

I hope everyone is doing well. I've been reading a lot of posts where people are making progress and having so many Non-Scale Victories (If I remember correctly that's what NSV means right?). Apologises for not knowing. 😅

I would like to say I have made a few myself.

- Being able to stand/walk longer without pains

- Being able to put some pressure on my wrists and knees (going on all fours) to do certain stretches. I couldn't put weight on them at all but now I can for a minute or so. It's not a lot but it's still progress for me.

- Some of you know this already from reading my previous posts but I can use weights now. Up to five pounds. I'm really happy and excited. 😁

- I still can't do HIIT/cardio or strength training full force or much at all but I can do certain exercises like:Wall Squats, Bicep Curls (with 3-5 lbs), Tricep Extensions (3lbs), Close Rows, and another exercise that I can't remember the name of. 😂

I'm still pretty limited obviously but I have made a lot of progress since starting physical therapy. I'm really glad that I'm doing this in general. It's helped me out so much. I've been given the okay to REALLY light and LOW impact exercises now. So I did find one FitnessBlender video I will try to do (https://www.fitnessblender.com/videos/low-impact-beginner-cardio-workout-feel-good-recovery-cardio) and I'll see how I feel after. I know there are maybe 1-3 exercises in here (maybe more) that I have to modify IMMENSELY or can't do at all but it's a start. I won't know until I try but I won't go full force into it either. I'll ease into it. The saying "Listen to your body" has become a HUGE thing with me now than before and I'm learning a lot.

Also, I got use a physioball I think it's called...??? My therapist called it a Swissball. Not sure of the name honestly. I used it to sit down and it was really exciting because I've never used one before or been near one in person. Is that weird?

I got to do some back exercises today and boy were they difficult. The soreness was real but awesome! It made me think starting over is something. Doing exercises that I used to be able to do with "ease" have become difficult again. Also, I'm learning to correct my form and posture when doing all these exercises as well.

I learned why I had such hard time doing core exercises and keeping my back straight. I tighten my core but I don't tilt my pelvis accordingly even though it feels like I am. I need to start using mirrors when doing things like rows, tricep extensions, etc. I'm learning so much and I'm glad. I never realized the mistakes I made before. Now that I know I'm going to work on correcting my form to the day I can exercise and move regularly.

I now realize I typed a lot. Haha I was excited so sorry about that. Thank you for reading and all you guys' encouragement. 😊

Have a Blessed day guys!
