Physical Therapy Day 1

Hey FB Family!

First all thank you to all of you who gave me advice with physical therapy yesterday. Your advice was true (not that I didn't believe any of you). Today was really interesting to say the least. I learned so much about myself just from my first visit.

Also, how cool is it that my physical therapist know about FitnessBlender? That's awesome isn't it? I've never met a fellow FB member in person before or anyone who knows about FitnessBlender in general. She was telling me to do some neck stretches to test out my neck mobility and asked me what kind of workouts I used to do before my joint pains. When I brought up FB she said she knows about it and says Kelli and Daniel are one of the few legitimate trainers out there. I was shocked and honestly thought it was amazing.

In terms of what I learned: it turns out that I really don't have arthritis or anything like that. I might have something called "Fibromyalgia". It isn't confirmed yet but it could be a possibility. Anyone hear about it or know what it is? I'm looking into it along with other terms like "trigger points" and "referred pain". She also said that I have tight nerves. I never knew that was a thing. Is it weird how excited and intrigued I am about learning these things and learning more about myself? Most people say it is but I'm bothered by it.

She told me how my brain is heightened in terms of pain and I can feel it more I believe thoroughly than others. I never knew that about myself. I'm learning so much. It's amazing! I know I keep saying that but it's just really cool.

I do have homework other than looking up those terms. I have to do "Median Nerve Rocking" and "Seated Sciatic Tensioner". Has anyone else had to do this? Where did you feel it most? For me doing the Median Nerve Rocker I felt it most in my tricep, going up my forearm towards my thumb, in my wrists and up my ring fingers.

Anyway, I hope all that made sense. I'm really excited to learn so much about myself. This was a lot more interesting than I thought. I have another appointment tomorrow. I can't wait to see what we'll be doing next. Thank you for reading.

Have a Blessed day guys!
