I wanted to join Etothek and trainer M today in doing that 1000cal workout.... but with it being a nature conservation volunteering day, it was a slightly different format to any of the FB 1000cal workouts!
I guess it counts?!?! Here’s my workout:
- 15min cycle ride to the island
- 20 min walk to our work area
- picking up bricks from scattered piles and taking them to one main pile (1 brick = 5lbs x 4, each time), on my own at first then joined by one other person, photo shows the pile
- filling an empty metal skip with wire fencing
- moving heavy wooden gates into a rack
- moving slabs (of various weights) to a new stack
- picking up rubble and filling a huge rubble sack.
All the volunteers worked together and the end result was amazing!
At the end of 4 and a half hours, my body said STOP!!!
- 20 min relaxing walk back to the ferry
- 20 min relaxing cycle ride back home
