This week marks 6 weeks since I last worked out due to having a baby! I got the clear to start working out again on Monday and man, it feels good to get back to it! I workout to help with stress and anxiety so the past 6 weeks having a new baby and not being able to relieve that has been a lot (just dealing with a baby is a lot!). Walking helped suffice, but getting back to my norm is so much better for me mentally.
I’m really excited that FB has two videos that help specifically for postpartum moms that I’ve been switching back and forth between this week. Also I love the new expert articles! Next week I plan to start the fundamentals challenge if my body allows for it. I’ve found that really listening to my body has been so important in my recovery this week. I listened to it prior but I’m listening to it a lot more now. The Pilates workouts I used to find boring (although necessary) are now difficult for me which shocks me. Not because of where I am/thought I would be because I knew I would be starting from the beginning again, but it shocks me because I’m actually liking Pilates! I find it difficult and exciting though I’m looking forward to the day I can do those jump squats and star jumps!
First week working out after baby!
